from I Feel Like Myself to I Got You

Day 815, Session 137:
When/Where:
Friday September 12th - Wandering around Chicago
First song: I Feel Like Myself by Tom Waits
Last full song: I Got You (with Andrew Bird) by Wilco
Progress: 2132-2144 of 6088
Total Songs Heard: 1749

First of all: Happy birthday Mike.

And now to your irregularly scheduled post.

When it comes to music, The Wife and I agree on almost everything. When it comes to everything else we hardly agree on anything at all. It's a wonder we're still married.

I keed.

When our musical opinions differ, we can usually tolerate the taste of the other. I tolerate her Rush, she tolerates my... well, I don't know what she has to tolerate seeing as how my taste in music is awesome. There are two things in my music collection that she absolutely CAN NOT STAND.

I Gaer - Sigur Ros

I was introduced to Sigur Ros by my (now) brother-in-law. I will admit that they can be a difficult band to wrap your brain around. They sing many of their songs (including this one) in the non-existent language of Vonlenska. I find it all atmospheric, entrancing, and sometimes moving. The Wife finds it long, incomprehensible, and always pointless. This is not my favorite Sigur Ros song in my collection but once I heard the next song I knew writing about Wife hate would be the topic du jour.

I Get Wet - Andrew W.K.

Maybe the only thing in my collection she hates more than Sigur Ros is Andrew W.K. She can't stand the stupidity (I choose to think of it as simplicity) of the lyrics, the way every song features an insistent driving beat, and she especially can't stand the yelling. I disagree with her on every point. The driving lyrics and the yelling fire me up. To me, the simple lyrics show a guy who isn't trying to do too much. If I had to decipher anything out of all the noise it'd be too much trouble instead I can just bang my head along to the beat (and later hold my neck and curse because I was banging my head too hard.

These are not the two best songs that Andrew W.K. and Sigur Ros have to offer, but they are a representative sample. Take a listen and then vote in the poll over on the side there as to who in this case is right: Is it me (who thinks these artists are cool) or The Wife (who thinks these artists suck)?

Finally today, thanks to whoever set the new standard by which all future weird search results for this blog will be measured. If you Google: Romantic relationships with "step siblings" -japanese, -anime. You too can end up here. I cringe at the idea of what they were looking for, and assume they didn't find it here.

What's going on around here

So, where are we now?

I'm back from vacation. I have a new computer. We're really down to one problem... the new computer is set up for SATA hard drives, the old one had an IDE hard drives.

What _that_ means is that all my music is stuck on my other hard drive. Yes, I could just load everything back onto the new machine manually, but I'm holding out hope that there's an easier way (and yes, if I were smarter I would have thought of this before I bought the new machine, then again, if I were smart I wouldn't need a new machine at all.)

Moral of the story: we're close, but not quite back yet.

Hey, here's something about music! If The Swell Season come to your town and you like great music and hilarious Irish-accented story telling you must go see them. If you saw the movie Once, you already know how awesome the music will be, but the concert experience part was also outstanding. Glen Hansard is a madman (in the good way) and Marketa Irglova is just as charming on stage as she was in the movie. Also, she's 20! Are you fucking kidding me? 20?!?! Yes, she looks young, but 20?!?! Fuck me. I need another shot at my entire 20s and her 20s just started.

Ahem. Sorry. Anywho, if they come to your town: GO!

These people had much better seats than we did (at a completely different show:)

from Hurt to I'll Fly Away

Day 702, Session 129:
When/Where:
Thursday May 22nd - Pounding the pavement on the post office route.
First song: Hurt by Johnny Cash
Last full song: I'll Fly Away by Alison Krauss & Gillian Welch
Progress: 2018-2025 of 5870
Total Songs Heard: 1636

Hurt. I hurt my computer today. Ok, technically it was a few days ago. The important thing for everyone to know is that you shouldn't try to upgrade your computer unless you're sure you know what you're doing.

I did not.

I ended up bricking (see definition 4, try to avoid the other definitions) my machine.

I am an idiot.

My computer is in the shop. I'm hoping it can be saved. (Processors can be replaced right?)

First I can't post songs the way I like anymore, now my whole computer is dead. Bad blogging times.

Speaking of the music not posting right anymore... I need to ask: Is the music I post here important? Do you listen? Cause if you don't, I suppose I shouldn't worry about it, but if you do I need to find a new way to do it. Obviously I have all the songs already, so I don't need it, but I like the idea of sharing. So, vote in the poll and you can help determine the future direction of this here blog dealee.

Not sure when the 'puter will be back, but I do know that posting will be sparse until it comes back (I've hijacked the wife's work laptop for this entry.) Thanks for stopping by, hopefully I'll be back at full strength soon.

1st day of spring musical blowout

A funny thing happened after I added an e-mail address to the blog. I started getting occasional e-mails. I did appreciate the invitation I received to one of the SXSW parties. I'm not sure what I was supposed to do with the information about the new National Lampoon movie, but I'm glad they were thinking of me.

The best e-mail I've gotten so far is from Derek. Derek is a fellow Josh Joplin fan who, has had a heck of a time trying to find the two early Josh Joplin Band releases. ("Projector Head" and "Boxing Nostalgic") As previously mentioned, I was lucky enough to find a copy of "Projector Head" online for a reasonable price. When I talked to Josh he definitely encouraged me to find copies of those early cds for download instead of paying $30+. Wait a second... I have one of those cds and can put it online! (for a limited time)

Early Josh Joplin

The file linked above contains all of "Projector Head" as well as the 3 songs I've been able to track down from "Boxing Nostalgic" (Boxing Nostalgic, Waffle House Homecoming, and Smile.) Enjoy. Then when you're done enjoying head over to Josh's website to see when he'll be playing somewhere near you. Then go see him in concert.

To celebrate the first day of spring and the fact that we've recently passed the 1500 song mark I've also reactivated the files for the First 1000 Songs Mix that I put together back when 1000 songs were done.

First 1000 Mix Disc 1 - Original Post and Track Listing

First 1000 Mix Disc 2 - Original Post and Track Listing

Enjoy all the music and the end to this long, dark, cold winter. Here in Chicago we're celebrating arrival of Spring by forecasting 3-6 inches of snow tomorrow.

from Hard Headed to Haywire

Day 612, Session 113:
When/Where:
Friday February 22th - In the living room, playing through Nottingham Forest's 1st Premier League season.
First song: Hard Headed Woman by Cat Stevens
Last full song: Haywire by The Jayhawks
Progress: 1803-1830 of 5784
Total Songs Heard: 1446

Ok, so I know I made up a set of rules for this project and one of those rules was no going backwards but...

The Oscars are this weekend. I know, I know, you probably don't really care. Honestly, for the most part I don't really care either. I've seen two of the best picture nominees, "Juno," which I liked it, but I hardly think of it as a Best Picture type of movie, and "No Country For Old Men," which I liked better, but again, didn't make me think best. movie. ever.

There is one category I care a lot about this year. Best song. The nominees include 3 songs from the movie "Enchanted" (which I'll probably never see,) 1 from the movie "August Rush" (which I certainly will never see,) and 1 from my favorite movie of last year, "Once."

So good is that song, that I'm breaking the rules and going back to highlight the Oscar nominated tune Falling Slowly. I'm not going to go into all the details of the movie, I know at least 4 of my 11 (this is a guess) loyal readers have already seen it. All you need to know is a guy and a girl (awesomely, their character names in the movie are Guy and Girl) meet and make beautiful music together. Falling Slowly is the first time they work together.

To make sure you understand how I feel, I'm going to use words that aren't normally part of my vocabulary.
This song is lovely. It brings tears to my eyes every single time I hear it. The movie is charming and full of joy. Amazingly, "Once" was not nominated for Best Picture. The very least they can do is make sure this song is recognized.

I feel so strongly about this that I'm filing this entry on Saturday night even though I know practically no one will see it until Monday when it may be too late. So if you're reading this Monday, and Falling Slowly did not win the Oscar for Best Song please call your congressperson and demand a federal investigation.

Right after Arlen Specter finishes investigating the New England Patriots.

from Gold Dust Woman to Goodnight Rose

Day 584, Session 107:
When/Where:
Friday January 25th - In the living room, conquering the Freezeflame galaxy.
First song:
Gold Dust Woman by Sister Hazel
Last full song: Goodnight Rose by Ryan Adams
Progress: 1639-1671 of 5676 (one skipped repeat)
Total Songs Heard: 1331

First of all, Well Hello to everyone visiting the blog for the first time as a result of the recent blurb this blog received in Time Out Chicago. If you didn't see it and are wondering what the heck I'm talking about, check here.

If you're new here, I recommend the links over on the left for a taste of what it's usually like around here (which is to say light and mostly nonsensical.) The last post's sap is certainly not normal and this one is a bit mopey even for me.

We used to go to the (cleverly named) campus pub, The Pub, to see the few bands that would come to UD. The Pub really wasn't much of a student hang out. That might have had something to do with the fact that it was connected directly to the largest cafeteria on campus. It's hard to enjoy spending a lot of time in a place where the smell of Pier 17 baked cod hangs in the air. On the plus side The Pub was a decent place to get some underage drinking done. When there was live music, the lights would go down and it would be much harder to see the big black X on the back of your hand indicating that you shouldn't be drinking.

It was during one of these 3-beer drunk (I was a lightweight) nights that Hello Dave first came to town. They seemed to be the classic college band; perfectly happy playing small college 'bars,' going to parties afterward, and then packing the van and driving 5 hours to the next place. There's a part of me that would love that life. The whole getting to perform for a living thing, getting paid to entertain people, seeing different parts of the country. It just seems like it would be a fun and completely different from the 'corporate' life I've been a part of for the last 8 years.

On the other hand, that life is hard. Hello Dave is still together and over the next 2 months play a total of 11 gigs. They're playing in such exotic locations as Island Lake, Downers Grove (both Illinois,) and Des Moines and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This isn't to put them down... they've been together at least 13 years. That's a successful run! But working at something for 13 years and to still be playing bars and clubs... wouldn't that eventually get old? Not to mention how hard it would be to potentially raise a family in a city like Chicago on musician money. I'm reasonably sure musician is not your only job at that point, and if you're working multiple jobs to make ends meet, then how fun can all that traveling be when you can't go to the after show party because you have to be up to work in the morning?

I guess what I'm saying is... I don't know what to do with my life. I love the idea of entertaining/performing for a living. But just getting to the point of being good enough at something to be able to do that is almost impossible since the spots are few and the people looking for those spots are endless. Then, even if you get your chance,
that life is so hard... and I am so weak.

Anywho, that shouldn't take away from the fact that Hello Dave's song Golden is pretty great. In fact, it's a nice tonic for the mope-fest that I just spit out.

Golden - Hello Dave (song coming soon)

It's not often that I find a song so lousy that I feel no choice but to delete it, however, today I am willing to make an exception. So say goodnight Goodnight L.A. you've been erased. (See, performing is hard! You're Strangeways and you've recorded this song and it was good enough to be included in a Metal Ballads compilation and then years later this jerk with a blog says the song sucks so much that he had to delete it!)

Finally, we passed 1300 songs, so lets do some math:
1331 songs in 584 days = 2.28 songs per day (so slow...)
5676-1671 = 4005 tracks to go
Of 1671 tracks so far, 340 (1671-1331) have been
skipped/podcasts/added later/whatever = 20.3% skipped
4005-(4005*20.3%) = approximately 3192 songs to go accounting for skipped tracks
3192 songs/2.28 songs a day = 1400 days to go (3.8 years)
Estimated date of project completion = October 2011

So yeah, looks like there's work to be done. The good news is after the prolonged slow period that was 2007, I think things will pick up significantly in 2008 and that estimated completion date will start to go down in the next 100 songs or so. It will also be hard for me to add many more songs seeing as how the Ipod is now approximately 97% full.

Technical Difficulties

Hello,

We're having some technical difficulties at the moment. There may be a post before the end of the week, but more likely we will return to active blogging next week.

Thanks for stopping by.

from February Stars to Figure Eight

Day 445, Session 93:
When/Where:
Monday September 10th - Heading home after the start of another blah week.
First song:
February Stars by Foo Fighters
Last full song: Figure Eight by Blossom Dearie (yes that is her real name)
Progress: 1303-1319 of 5303
Total Songs Heard: 1087

It's been a long and reasonably blah week round these parts. Still struggling with achieving a work/life balance that doesn't leave me mostly miserable most of the time. Here were the songs that were heard on this particular slog (train construction has made the average trip home (which used to be 30 minutes) take about 45, this one took an hour) of a trip home.

February Stars - Foo Fighters
Fee - Phish
Feeling Called Love - Pulp
Fell in Love - Moxy Früvous
Festive Overture - Dmitri Shostakovitch
Festive Road - The Divine Comedy
Fett's Vett - mc chris
Fever - Peggy Lee
Fewer Words - Badly Drawn Boy
fibber - dave matheson
Fiction - Garrison Keillor
Fifteen Keys - Uncle Tupelo
Fifty Ways To Leave Your Lover - Simon & Garfunkel
Fight The Power - Barenaked Ladies
Fighting The Destroyer Droids - John Williams
Fighting The Guards - John Williams
Figure Eight - Blossom Dearie

My favorite tune from this group was Fett's Vett by mc chris. If you're an Aqua Teen Hunger Force fan, you may no may know mc chris better as MC Pee Pants/Sir Loin/Little Brittle. (If you're not an ATHF fan, then that last sentence probably made the least sense of anything I've written so far.) His first cd is available for download at his website. If you're into nerdcore rap, you should definitely pick it up. If you're not sure what the hell nerdcore rap is, take a listen:

Fett's Vett - mc chris

Lest I Eeyore this place up too much with my recent moping. I'd like to announce how happy I am to discover that this website is currently the #2 destination on the entire innerwebs if you Google the words: exploding hippos.

One more about the blog note: I've found a place online that will allow me to host mp3 files for free. I'm still not sure how exactly that site is supposed to make money or why it's free, so I also don't know what to expect as far as how dependable it is. If you try to play or download one of songs in a recent post and it's consistently unavailable let me know.

A brief pause to reflect on 1000

One of the things I love about the more or less constant listening to my iPod is the way the ear buds do a really good job of blocking out the world around me. I don't have those fancy noise blocking dealees either, just a normal set of $20 replacements for the original iPod set that died out around song 400. (If you work for a company that supplies more expensive headphones and would like to send me a pair, please contact me. I'm sure we can work something out.)

The only downside is that constantly having buds in my ears leads to earritation (that's right, I went there.) I've been off the Pod the last few days letting my right ear return to normal. In the down time I've put together a mix containing the first 1000 songs. Disc 1 is available here. A bit of warning... if you're looking to rock, well you've forgotten most of the songs I've written about, and you're going to be disappointed.

(Standard mp3 disclaimer applies here, please support the artists in this mix by buying a cd or tickets to a concert or something. Or even better, if you see them on the street, give them $5. That way the fat cat record company doesn't get a cut. If you are a fat cat record company and want me to remove any links, let me know.)

Here's the track list, presented of course, in alphabetical order:

From 'Cello Song to Brother - The First 1000 Songs (Disc 1)
1. 'Cello Song - Nick Drake
2. Across The Universe - Rufus Wainwright
3. Act My Age - the Argument
4. Afternoons And Coffeespoons - Crash Test Dummies
5. All Over You - Live
6. And So It Goes - Billy Joel
7. Back - Barenaked Ladies
8. Beercan - Beck
9. Better - Jonathan Coulton
10. Beware, Brother, Beware - Louis Jordan
11. Bewilderbeast - Badly Drawn Boy
12. Bitches Ain't Shit - Ben Folds
13. BJ Don't Cry - Moxy Früvous
14. Blackbird - Sarah McLachlan
15. Boxing - Ben Folds Five
16. Broken Harpoon - The Jayhawks
17. Brother - Toad The Wet Sprocket

Feel free to follow the links above to some of the entries that mention the included songs. We'll hit song 1000 tomorrow night. I'll be "live blogging" the last few songs after work. Stop by if you have a chance. Thanks for visiting.

from Elbow Room to ELT

Day 390, Session 80:
When/Where: Tuesday July 17th - On the train and walking along Belmont and on the bus from work to home.
First song: Elbow Room by Sue Manchester
Last full song: ELT by Wilco
Progress: 1128-1142 of 5200
Total Songs Heard: 937

Hey now. Let's hear it for progress. After a 169 day lay-off it's time to get moving again. Since we were last together I'm going to estimate that I've added about 500 songs... a few new releases by old favorites (both B.L.A.M. releases from BNL,) several old releases that were found during the great flood cleanup (I haven't heard Little Earthquakes by Tori Amos since freshman year) and some fantastic new discoveries (say hello to The Avett Brothers.)

Also since my last listen, iTunes has again changed the way they treat the alphabet as far as song titles go. "A" now apparently comes before numbers which would change the whole title of the blog. Bah, I wish they'd just make up their mind. Or here's a crazy idea... let the user choose how they want alphabetical order settings to work (for example, I want "M" before "G"... fuck you G!) and then let them keep it that way. Wankers.

One I got past the iTunes garbage plugging back into the music was great. I've spent so much time with various podcasts in my ear that getting the complete musical experience (instead of just public radio types talking) was refreshing. That sense of refreshment lasted all of one song. Then, about 15 seconds into The Beatles doing Eleanor Rigby, refreshment turned to befuddlement.

I thought either my iPod, my headphones, or my head was broken. Everything sounded normal until they got to the start of the first verse. Then, all of the sudden, for reasons I can't explain, as Paul starts the verse the vocals cut out of my left ear and come up exclusively in my right. This lasted until the chorus, when voices returned to both ears, but different vocal parts came from each side. It was like The Beatles were standing around me singing the song, which was cool but also disorienting. Paul was always on my right no matter which way I turned.

Here, take a listen for yourself (headphones recommended for full effect):

Eleanor Rigby - The Beatles

So I guess my question is was it recorded this way on purpose, or do I just have a bum copy of "1?" (the greatest hits compilation) I don't suppose anyone out there has a copy of "Revolver" that can determine whether it sounds that way on the original album? Or if someone could at least listen to their copy of "1" to see if it does the same thing. Thanks.

Regardless, it was a good day. Music made the commute (which clocked in at almost an hour today, yuck) fly. I should try this more often.

from Easy to El Fin

Day 221, Session 79:
When/Where: Monday January 29th - In the air between Nashville and Chicago.
First song: Easy by Barenaked Ladies
Last full song: El Fin de la Infancia (Live KCRW 1996) by Cafe Tacuba
Progress: 1060-1075 of 4791
Total Songs Heard: 922

***Updated 7/6***

What happened to June? Apologies for the absence... a short vacation and work and the general feeling that I needed to pull my brain out of my skull and scrub it off have kept me away. And when I was so close to finally being caught up again... anywho, this doesn't really count as a post or anything, just wanted you to know I wasn't gone. More to come.
_______

Ok. Good riddance to you June. The topper to a real winner of a month? Flooding. 3-inches of water in our basement. Goodbye 2 mattresses, a bunch of books, a PS2, a box full of letters from college (ouch,) most of my Dayton radio career (double ouch,) probably a couch, and possibly a rug that we just dropped a good chunk of money on less than a year ago (not to mention the super thick carpet padding that made the carpet so awesome, but that ended up being around 350 pounds of soaking wet grossness.)

So yeah, June was shit.

The good news is, with this post. I am now officially caught up on everything. What does that mean? I haven't listened to any new music in order since January 29th. What have I been listening to in the meantime? Podcasts, lots of podcasts.

Allow me to recommend the following:
Slate's Explainer and Story of the Day podcasts
NPR's Story of the Day and Unger Report
The Onion Radio News
This American Life
and
The News from Lake Wobegon from
A Prairie Home Companion (that's right, I recently turned 60)

So the next time I go a month without updating, try listening to some of those and reading this.

What's next? First, another vacation (hooray for the Jersey shore!) Then, the return of "regular" updates written the same day as the listening (what a novel idea!) And if we're reaching... the hope is to have a lot more actual music linked through the blog.

Thanks to everyone (all 5 of you) who kept stopping by during my absence. Things will fire up again around July 13th.

In the meantime, here is the final song heard during the first stage of this project. The title means "Childhood's End." Usually I'm against that sort of thing, but in this case (since I don't understand the words) the end of childhood sounds like a rollicking good time.

Cafe Tacuba - El Fin de la Infancia

from Doug to Downeaster

Day 210, Session 73:
When/Where: Thursday January 18th - Coming home from work.
First song: Doug Levy by Moxy Fruvous
Last full song: Downeaster "Alexa" by Billy Joel
Progress: 1008-1014 of 4802
Total Songs Heard: 864

A couple things to say before we hit the music.

First, sweetness! I think I've set this dealee up so that whenever I'm linking directly to a song, you should be able to play it without leaving the page. For now that mostly means Coulton songs will play directly on this page. (Of course if you like those songs, I can't recommend highly enough that you go to his site and pick up a cd or find out when he's playing near you.) For the future that opens up all sorts of possibilities, most of which I'll probably never fully realize.

Second, not so great, as of this evening this blog now appears on the first page of results if you Google zip gun plans. Even though THERE ARE NO PLANS HERE. (I realize of course that by typing this I'm only encouraging Google results to point this way, but maybe that's actually my plan. If people can't actually find the plans they're looking for that potentially means one less gun out there. Grass roots gun control at its lamest.)

Let's see about using that new feature. The first song of the day was another Fruvous fan song:
Doug Levy -
Moxy Fruvous

Give it a shot. Let me know if you were able to play the song with the little blue button.

There was a little juxtaposition of two of the last songs from today:
Down to the Old Pub Instead by Stephen Lynch is an old Irish song encouraging the guys to get away from the wife and off to the bar during certain days of the month.
Down To The River To Pray by Alison Kraus (from "O Brother Where Art Thou?") is an old timey gospel type song encouraging everyone to follow the lord down to the river for some good old fashion baptizin'.

It was jarring to hear these two songs back to back. I'm pretty sure if you combine the two songs together, you should make sure your old pub is not located in shark or piranha infested waters.

Vegas Baby!

Well Hello! Just got back from a few days in Vegas, hence the lack of posting. There will be an update this evening after work. Thanks for stopping by.

Also,

Dear Apple,

If you're going to make a change to way the default sort works in the iTunes 7.1 release, you should probably also include a way for the user to go back to the old way without having to edit the name of every single song that starts with the word "the."

Thanks,
Disgruntled Blogject Guy

Friday December 1st

Day 162, Session 58:
Location: On the train, heading home for the weekend
First song: Cruel Sun by Rusted Root
Last full song: Cumbersome by Seven Mary Three
Progress: 783-791 of 4552
Total Songs Heard: 691

Not a whole lot to say today, except to note that Crumble by Ultraspank, I'm sorry. It's just not going to work out. I wish you luck in all your future endeavors.

Since there's not much to say about the songs, let's clear some things up about the blog.

First, no matter how popular it seems to be with search engines, this blog will never contain any plans for a zip gun. It's been a little disturbing to see how many people end up here after investigating how to make a zip gun.

Second, the dates in the post titles are the dates that I'm writing about, not the date the post was written. I had a friend say they stopped checking in here because it seemed like I hadn't updated since November. This is not the case. I've been updating (mostly,) it's just that right now there's a 6 week lag between listening and writing. I'm working on it (and I'm guessing I'll continue to be "working on it" until this project is done or until I give it up.)

Third, thanks to Gena and my sister who both have been kind enough to link to this thing, and to Mike and my brother-in-law who, as far as I can tell, represent the regular readers.

The Rules -or- This probably should have been first.*

What, exactly, am I doing here?

I am attempting to listen to to every song on my ipod in alphabetical order.

My parents gifted me a 30gb video ipod for Christmas 2005. I love me the ipod. All of my music with me all the time? I'm a fan. There are times when it feels like the ipod provides the movie of my life (as dull a movie as that would be) with a constant soundtrack.

At this point according to iTunes I have approximately 14 days worth of content stored (and about 5.5 gigs free.) Since I'll never have the chance to just sit down and listen for 14 straight days, I figured this would be the next best thing. I have about an hour commute back and forth each day on the train... prime listening time. I work on the computer during the day, but not on the phone much... more listening time. I can get those 14 days in... seeing how long it will take is part of the fun.

So far I've come up with a few rules:
1. I don't have to listen to podcasts. I subscribe to several but because the podcasts are a more temporary thing, meant to be listened to and then discarded, I can skip those.
2. If a song really sucks, I don't have to listen to all of it. I've made some questionable musical choices in my life, not to mention things from my wife's collection that I've never heard before (until she met me she loved Rush!) Some of it may really suck. I'm not doing this to torture myself, so I can skip really bad songs. I am however attempting to listen through every song at least half way. If something is so shockingly awful I have to delete it, I'll probably mention it.
3. I'm not going to hide anything because its bad. For example, in a future post I'll have to discuss Jewel.
4. No going backward. If songs are added to my library that come alphabetically before what I'm listening to now, too bad. If I backtrack, this may never get done (and there's already a very good chance this will never get done anyway.)

Feel free to leave comments along the way. I've been wanting to find out more about how I could make tons of money filling out surveys and stuffing envelopes from home!

It Begins

...and in the beginning there was music. And it was good. Or at least some of it was. Some of it was actually quite bad. We're going to listen to it all.
